PRIVACY POLICY

In accordance with the Canadian Anti-Spam Law, only those individuals who give explicit permission to use their email address will be included in Jersey Canada mass emails (“e-blasts”).

A consent clause is included on the Jersey Canada Membership application, which allows the individual the option of consenting to:

• Use of personal information (such as name, farm name, prefix, email address, mailing address, and telephone number) and photos in Jersey Canada communication materials;
• Release of personal information and photos to be shared with public media to announce information such as show activity, contest results, and other achievements;
• Receive Jersey Canada’s email press releases containing news, updates and promotions. A means of unsubscribing from email press releases will be available on all e-blasts.

In accordance with The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and following advice from the Information Centre for the Privacy Commission of Canada, Jersey Canada will not make membership lists available to any organization or individual. Sharing new owner & new member lists with each Region is permitted, as the Regional Associations do not use the information for commercial activity.
